My family and I moved to Port Mansfield when I was 10 years old. I grew up on these shallow waters of the Laguna Madre. As a summer time job, I caught these same fish and sold them to the local fish house. After high school I worked in the oil field until getting laid off. Then attended college at Angelina Jr. College in Lufkin, TX where I played baseball for 2 years. After that I attended SWTS University in San Marcos. I felt I was missing something and came back to Port Mansfield to continue my fishing career. I started guiding in 1985 and married my local sweetheart (Debbie) in 1988. We have 2 children and we all love to fish. |
